Three of the girls we worked with this week. They were all dressed up for the program.

Every morning we fed bread and peanut butter to the kids and mosh of the adults.

This is the Catholic Church in Port au Prince. It is a beautiful building, but cannot be repaired.

Haiti Photos

This is the Methodist Guest house where we have stayed this week.

Just an example of how buildings just crumbled during the earthquake.

View from our van window.

This is the Presidential Palace that was damaged beyond repair.

This is the Croix des mission Methodist Church that we have been working on. We've had Bible School each day right in the area of the church shown in the picture. We had 120 children today and probably 60 -80adults.

Entire concrete structures just crumbled into piles of rocks during the earthquake.

The man on the left is carrying a "drug store". Usually this is carried on the head. You can buy any medication right on the street.

This is an example of the "stores" along the streets of Port au Prince. Small stands under umbrellas were lined up right beside each other selling things from bread to shoes and anything else you could think of.

Send Off

Sunday was a special day for us.  Our church had a special "send off" service for consecration and prayer for our upcoming mission trip to Haiti.  We continue to be humbled each day by the support of our friends, church and community.

13 More Days

We are 13 days away from leaving for our first mission trip.  We're headed for Croix des Mission, Haiti.  We have been so excited for a long time, but now it's finally time to start taking inventory and begin packing.  There are so many things that we want to take with us, but we are limited by airline policies and limits on the size and weight of baggage.  People have been so very generous.  We are very humbled by the thoughtfulness of our families and friends.  We've made many plans for the time we will be in Haiti and although we are anxious to see these plans come to fruition, we realized that God is the one in control and His plans are the ones that will be done.  Please join us in praying that God will accomplish His plans both in us and through us.
